Word Graphics

Words. They make up what we say, do, and even the art we create. As a designer, it's important to be socially aware of the trends of our culture. Art can be made with any medium, from compost in the garbage to simple words on a page arranged to communicate a specific meaning to the world.

Communication is important in any part of life, especially the design world. It is crucial for a designer to be able to tell their audience what they intend to tell them. Being able to convey a thought, a word, and even a feeling is a work of art. Making art with words is a unique form, but it's all around us. Pick up a magazine and the cover is designed with intricate placement of words. Look at a billboard, words all over it. So making artwork out of words isn't as absurd as it sounds.

Create Tomorrow

"Create Tomorrow"
The slogan that caught my eye on all of the Art Institute's posters, tri-folds, and website. It is with this hope that I set out on my adventure to become a graphic designer. With frazzling attempts at attending a university as expected of me, I was ready for a change. Desperately, I needed a sense of belonging; that's exactly what I found at The Art Institute of Seattle.
