Project Statement
Project Statement
Background
The famous
person that I chose to illustrate is Elvis Presley. He was the King of Rock n
Roll and sparked a musical revolution in the 1950’s. He made many memorable
songs such as “Heartbreak Hotel”, “All Shook Up”, and “Blue Suede Shoes".
Target Audience
The audience
for this type illustration is music lovers and Elvis fans. The illustration is
for an article in Time magazine about the mystery woman that Elvis was
photographed kissing early in his career.
Objectives
To inform
Elvis fans of this mystery woman and what became of her. I also want fans to
remember the glory days of Elvis and revive his youthful feel of music in
America.
Obstacles
The family
of Elvis could be affected by seeing Elvis in this context.
Key Benefit
The viewers
will know a piece of history from an artist’s perspective.
Support Statements
Although
bringing up the past may drudge up bad memories along with it, I feel the
experience will bring about a catharsis of emotions to the viewers.
Tone
Optimistic,
reminiscent
Media
Print
Creative Considerations
To be
considerate of the family of Elvis yet still fulfill the requirements needed
for the magazine.
